Someone asked me the other day how old Lily is and it dawned on me that I can now say that she is a year and a half! Wow! How quickly the days are going by. I am loving this age . . . except for the occasional fits and disobedience. Yes, we have hit the "Terrible Twos" a little early! Ha.
So what has Miss Lily been up to lately?
- Learning so much - it seems like everyday she says new words! She is starting to put words together into short sentences. She knows a few numbers, letters, and shapes.
- Helping with everything! She seriously wants to help with everything. I'm hoping it lasts! Ha! Whatever I'm doing, whether it's the laundry, cooking, dishes, changing Levi's diaper, picking up, whatever, she runs up and says "help? help?!"
- She was down to one nap each day, but most of this week she's taken a morning and afternoon nap, as well as sleeping about 12 hours at night. I think she must be growing!
- Playing in water is still a favorite activity! Daddy is planning to build her a water table soon.
- She loves to eat! There is really nothing she doesn't like. Right now broccoli is her favorite! :)
- I haven't measured her lately, but I know she's gotten taller! Her 12 month clothes fit perfectly . . . except in length. She weighs about 22 pounds and wears size 5 shoe.
- Of course she is still a big time Daddy's Girl! If he leaves for work before she wakes up, she always runs around looking for him and calling him. It makes me so happy that she loves her daddy so much!
- She is really into hiding right now. She'll tell us that she's going to hide, then she runs to her room and we go find her. She's always in one of two spots - beside her crib, or in her closet. So funny!
