Catch Up.

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted. Last week was a pretty rough week. Levi woke up Monday morning with a runny nose and as the day progressed, Lily and Asher started showing signs of getting sick too. UGH! Three sick babes is rough...actually one or two sick babes is rough. I've decided that we are going to stay at home all winter. LOL, just kidding! But...I certainly do wish that parent's would use common sense and keep their sick (green-snot runny nosed, coughing) children at home. Seriously.

End of rant. Moving on.
Poor Asher got it the worst. He still has a cough, but is fine otherwise. He spent most of his nap times propped up on pillows or in his carseat to help him be able to breathe. Yes, he insists that something be covering his face when he sleeps. It's beyond me.

Thankfully my happy boy is back. I just love this sweet man!

Labor Day weekend was the annual War Between the States re-enactment that my family has participated in for years. My kids and I haven't dressed up in several years, but I'm hoping we can next year. I took the kids out to the park where the re-enactment is held around lunchtime on Saturday. We had a picnic and stayed to watch the battle.

I absolutely love my Joovy stroller! It's been the best investment for us! I'm confident that wouldn't be able to go and do as much as we do without it.
Yes, I purposely co-ordinate the kids clothes. :) I think it's cute, but it also makes it easier to keep up with them!
Sweet baby man fell asleep during the battle.

Levi hanging with Papaw during the battle.

Look at those red cheeks! It was so HOT and humid.

These two girls are such a blessing to me! Even though Lily is so much younger than them, they still love to play with her. They put their money together and bought Lily a rag doll (which she totally loves!). I'm thankful that Lily has these two girls to look up to and learn from!

We had to run out to my parent's on Saturday evening. The kids enjoyed reading with Yaya.

Levi and a great "big boy" friend.

Picnic on Sunday after the old-timey church service.

On Sunday afternoon I noticed how quiet Levi was so I went to check on him and this is what I found. That boy loves his books!

My parent's celebrated their 33rd anniversary over the weekend. We went in together and got them a gift card for a night away.

We "celebrated" Labor Day with Jacob's family at lunchtime and my family at supper. It was fun to spend extra time together as a family!

Week/Weekend.

We had another busy week. Jacob played in Annie so he was gone every night until really late. The kids and I had a good week, but you know, "single-parenting" isn't always easy.

On Tuesday evening we (the kids and I) went to my parent's for supper. My brother is raising baby chicks and Lily and Levi loved watching them. We got to visit awhile with Memaw which was nice! I'm so thankful for my Dad who took L&L to see the animals even though he had tons to do - like fixing a water leak, mending fences, and getting trash together for garbage day.

Wednesday morning we went to a small park close to our house. We played for about an hour. L&L had fun digging in the sand for "treasures." Lily found a penny, but then she dropped it in the grass and we couldn't find it. :( Levi is such a goofball these days - he loved playing with my sunglasses. Ha!

Thursday night our church had Parent's Night Out. Since Jacob had the play, I took Asher with me. We went to Panera for supper then went to the fabric store and Hobby Lobby to get stuff to make quiet books. Yes, Asher started solids last week too! He loves avocado!

Friday, the kids had chiropractor appointments in the morning. They did so well! We ran a few errands after that then came home for lunch and naps. We ran out really fast to eat Mexican for supper before Jacob had to go to the play. Everything was crazy at supper. I think it was just because we were in a hurry.

I took the kids to a little friend's 1st birthday party Friday evening. It was fun! We ended up having to leave early because Asher was really fussy. When we got home L&L wanted me to take pictures of their funny faces. Levi kept giggling at Lily so he couldn't manage to keep a funny face long enough to get a picture. Silly boy!
Saturday morning we went to the Farmer's Market again. I just love the fresh fruits and veggies we get there! Then we dropped off some consignment stuff for a sale coming up in a couple weeks. My mom was such a huge blessing to me - each consignor is supposed to hang up their items by size on the racks in the store, well since Jacob wasn't able to watch the kids, my mom came and hung up my stuff for me so I didn't have to leave the kids in the car for a long time. My mom also met up with me at one grocery store and helped me with the kids again! She is awesome! :)

I always pick out the kids church clothes on Saturday night. Lily had chosen to wear the dress hanging closest on the door (in the picture above) but after I put Levi to sleep, I came in her room and she had picked out 5 more dresses. Ha!

All the kids snuggling after their naps on Sunday.

Levi loves standing in his highchair (when mommy's back is turned) turning the light on and off. Stinker.

The L's working on their computers (yes, Levi's is a cash register). They were sending emails, looking at pictures, and finding new recipes. LOL

The last performance of Annie was last night! I can't tell you how thankful I am that it's over! :)
