Please go check out my sister's blog and find out how you can help a crisis pregnancy center in great need! It's a fabulous opportunity to give during this time of year!
--------------------------
So we had big plans this weekend of Jacob's mom keeping Lily so I could go to the symphony concert Jacob was playing in. We were all so excited about it, oh, and I was going to get to see a friend in the orchestra who is due with her first baby the same day I'm due with Little Guy.
But...
the lovely stomach bug hit...
like a freight train!!
It went through my sister's family, another couple from church, my Dad (amazingly my Mom and two brothers at home never got it!), Jacob, then me, then Lily. Thankfully by the time the bug got to my little family it was not as strong so we were not nearly as violently sick as those who had it before us! We were thankful for that!
So instead of pictures from the concert and with my pregnant friend and with Lily staying with her Grammie, here is a picture of my sweet, sweet Daddy who came over to keep Lily while I was sick. Since he'd already had the virus he wasn't spreading anything or getting anything. Jacob was busy with rehearsals (thankfully he only had to miss one) and it was such a blessing for my Daddy to come over so I could get a nap!
Praise the Lord, we are all feeling better now! Lily even loved the "green" smoothie I shared with her - in an effort to get more fresh fruits and veggies in us both.
I hope ya'll had a great weekend!

So glad you guys are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteAwww...no fun! So glad to hear you all are feeling better!!
ReplyDeleteHow funny... A friend of ours and I are due the same day, too!
ReplyDeleteBummer about the stomach bug... get well soon!
I had that last week - it's awful!!! Glad things are looking up again! :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! No fun, glad you're all feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling better now. It bites to be sick!
ReplyDeleteGlad you all are feeling better!! Sorry you had to miss seeing your friend!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you were sick, but glad you are feeling better and had the help that you needed during your sickness!
ReplyDeleteVery glad you guys are better. That is always rough, especially with kids. Bella and Scout would get it a lot from Bella being in school and so outside of their amazingly healthy diet, I give them a probiotic for kids (chewable for Bella, powder for Scout) and along with Vitamin D, I give them home made elderberry syrup daily. I'm glad to say that she has been in school for almost 4 months, and not so much a cold with either of the kids :o)
ReplyDeleteLove Lily's green mouth!
