All the kids got to dress up for this year's War Between the States re-enactment. They absolutely loved it! Asher was mistaken several times for a girl, but "back then" both boys and girls his age wore dresses. :)
Asher loved listening to the man playing the harmonica.
Enjoying fresh squeezed lemonade after the hot battle.
My parent's celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary the same weekend as the re-enactment. They also celebrated 21 years of the re-enacting ministry (my Dad dresses as a chaplain and passes out gospel tracts from the 1860's).

That's such a cool tradition!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My girls would LOVE to dress up like that! So cool!
ReplyDeleteThe first picture - just precious! What a fun tradition to have!
ReplyDeleteI an not sure if I knew that your hubby did re-enactments. My husband used to do that all of the time. He loves it, but since our kids have gotten so busy, he doesn't get to do it as much as he used to!
