41 weeks!

16 weeks (first picture) with little guy and 41 weeks (hopefully last picture with him on the inside)

Yes, still no baby! I'm actually doing great! Jacob finished off his super busy week last night, so now baby boy is all clear to come whenever he chooses! I mean, it would have been fine for him to come last week, but I think it will be easier for our family for him to come this week. Jacob has a partial spring break this week, which is such a blessing!

I got groceries yesterday, so our refrigerator is well stocked (again), the laundry is done, the house is pretty clean, the bags are packed, the car seat is in the car, and everything else I can think of is done.

I've been power walking everyday as well as continuing to exercise/do squats/pelvic rocks too.

Lily was 4 days late, Levi was 6 days late, and I'm wondering if this baby is going to keep with the pattern and be 8 days late. We shall see. :-)

I've lost 2lbs which I always do within a few days of having the baby.

I ate way too much dark chocolate yesterday. I just couldn't help myself!

If little man is born today, he'll share a birthday with my brother.

Hopefully my next post will have pictures of a brand new baby!

{not my boy's} birthday.

Today we celebrated my sweet sister's 30th birthday! Most of my family (two of my brothers couldn't make it because of work and school) met at Panera for lunch. It was pretty hectic because they were really busy, but we enjoyed being together. Lily is not drugged in the picture...she's just showing how Jacob and I felt after our order was completely lost and we had to wait forever to get our food.

Myra and her sweet 3 year old.

My beautiful mom and sister. Love them!

I had a midwife appointment this morning. Everything is great with me and baby boy! We are content to wait until he is ready to come. Lily was 4 days late and Levi was 6 days late, so I kind of expected I'd go late this time too. Honestly, if he waits until Sunday or early next week, that's totally fine. Jacob's schedule is much easier after Saturday night.

I'm feeling great, although I got really tired this afternoon. I had gone walking at the mall while the kids were napping and I just about crashed when I got home. I lay down for a little while on the couch, but Lily came over and pulled my shirt up and started "reading" to the baby and Levi spent about 10 minutes trying to rub/gnaw the nail polish off my toes. Ha. No nap for this mama.

Midweek Randoms

  • Ever wonder how I manage to get ready with two littles? Ha. They love brushing their teeth!
  • Jacob, Lily, and I got haircuts today! After at least a month of being on my to do list.
  • The weather today was beautiful!
  • Tomorrow is my sister's 30th birthday and the Full Moon. Wonder if we'll have a baby?
  • This afternoon I ran out {alone!} to Old Navy and found a few comfy clothes. It's hard buying stuff that you can't really try on, but hopefully they'll fit ok.
  • Lily and Levi helped me pick up and vacuum. Well, they helped me pick up and then watched me vacuum - neither one of them are very fond of the vacuum.
  • Lily and I painted our toenails and made brownies (because Jacob wanted something sweet) this afternoon.
  • I'm super proud of my hubby. He is training to run as part of a team in a Ragnar Relay from Chattanoga to Nashville in November. His team is raising money to support mission work in Liberia. You can check out their website here. An added benefit is that in just the short time he's been training, he's lost 12lbs!
  • I made Jacob's favorite, Chicken Alfredo, for supper.
  • Baby Boy finally has a name...I think! :-)
  • I took the kids to church tonight and Jacob had a rehearsal.
  • I'm pretty tired and hoping for a good sleep tonight. Hope y'all had a great day!
  • I just noticed that this is my 500th post! Wowzers!

Tuesday

Today was a pretty low key day. This morning Lily and Levi helped me do laundry and make homemade bread. We played a lot and had fun just being together. We also taped a bunch of books that have gotten torn over the last few months. Usually the books are not intentionally torn, it's just one of those things that happens with two little ones who love to read. We got nearly all of them fixed before we ran out of tape. Lily and I also stitched up one of her baby dolls whose foot had somehow gotten ripped. It's nice to get those projects out of the way. The poor doll has been in baby doll hospital for more months than I care to remember.
This afternoon the kids took good naps and I was able to get out and run a few errands while our mother's helper was at the house.

Lily has been begging to go see the animals at Papaw and Yaya's farm so we went there after taking my helper home. Lily had a great time feeding the goats, petting the dogs, and seeing a brand new baby calf. Levi liked watching everything as long as I was holding him. He's a little nervous around animals.
My Mom fixed breakfast for supper, and it was just delicious!

So, obviously there is no baby yet. I'm honestly feeling great! My house is clean, laundry is caught up, kitchen is well-stocked, and whenever the little guy decides to make his appearance, will be just fine.

Life of Late

This is kind of a long catch-up post, so bear with me!

Me at 40 weeks and my amazing sister at 20 weeks

Thursday night my sister and brother-in-law had a gender reveal party for their second baby. It's a BOY!! I can't believe that we are going to have 4 boys between us! Poor Lily! Ha. Myra did a post on her blog today with all the party details - so fun!

On Friday, we had a ton of severe weather throughout the day. I hope you all are ok from the storms, so much of our country was affected by them! Thankfully none of the storms ended up coming close to us, but there was a lot of damage about 20 minutes away. Schools got out early because of the weather, so Jacob got to come home before lunch! He decided to put up Lily's toddler bed since he had the extra time. She is in love with it! So far she's doing great staying in it. I'm so thankful it hasn't been a hard transition for her.

Saturday morning we were up bright and early for breakfast at Cracker Barrel to celebrate Jacob's youngest sister's birthday. Yummy!

After breakfast we went to my in-laws to watch Elizabeth open her presents. Lily adores Elizabeth, and Elizabeth is just so sweet to play with Lily. I pray they are good friends as Lily grows up, even with the age difference.

Sunday was such a busy, busy day! We had church and Jacob had to leave right after to go conduct one of his youth orchestra's concert (poor guy thought he had to be there at 12:30 for the sound check, but it turned out he didn't need to be there til 1:30 and then the concert was at 3:00. oh well). The kids and I enjoyed a quick dinner at my parent's and then headed to a sweet little girl's 3rd birthday party. Poor Levi fell asleep on the drive there, so he was Mr. Cranky Pants for most of the party. He finally warmed up and started playing. Lily and Levi had such a fun time playing with all the "new" toys!

After the party, we ran home and Lily took a good nap before we left again for church. Of course Levi wouldn't nap after the short nap in the car, so he was a mess at church too. He just gets so out of routine on Sundays, and he is definitely not nearly as adaptable as Lily has always been. By the time we were ready to go home, I felt like I was going to fall over with exhaustion.

Thankfully I slept really well last night! Today has been a great day! Some friends from church invited me and the kids over to visit and have lunch. Lily and Levi had the greatest time playing and I just enjoyed chatting.

Hope you all had a great Monday!

40 weeks!

40 weeks with Baby #3

I seriously cannot believe that I am already 40 weeks pregnant! This pregnancy has flown by so fast! I am feeing great, except for the occasional sciatic nerve pain. {ouch!} Yes, I know I look utterly exhausted in the picture. Truth is, I am...but it's been an extremely long day. I had hoped to get a picture this morning before we left for church, but that didn't work out and the rest of the day has been a blur, so this picture just had to do.

I have been having lots of contractions and cramping, but nothing painful or consistent...my body and baby are just getting ready. I honestly don't think he's going to come until closer to my original due date, March 7th. With all three of my pregnancies, the first ultrasound has moved my due date up several days from what I had calculated, but then Lily was four days late and Levi was six days late...closer to what I originally thought.

I'm really not feeling antsy at all. I know he will come when he is ready. I'm truly enjoying my last few days with just Lily and Levi. I want to give them as much love and attention as I can right now because their lives are about to be changed in a huge way.

I'll keep you all updated! Thank you for your prayers!

26 months

I know these monthly posts are probably boring for y'all, but I want to have them so I can look back when my memory fails me. ha!
  • My girl is just growing up so fast!
  • She loves to read and is constantly bringing books to me to read to her. She enjoys reading to Levi and her baby dolls.
  • She is full of personality!
  • She loves to snuggle, especially when she wakes up in the morning or after her nap.
  • She likes to have tea parties with her babies.
  • Anytime I'm in the kitchen, she runs in, pulls a chair up to the counter and "helps" me.
  • She loves helping empty the dishwasher. Some of her other "chores" include, bringing the little trash cans from the bathrooms to empty in the big can in the kitchen, helping with the laundry, and cleaning up her room every night.
  • She loves playing dress up!
  • Whenever I'm getting ready, she asks to play with my jewelry or "do her makeup" when I'm doing mine.
  • She likes to pick out her clothes.
  • She wears mostly 24mo and 2T clothes and size 7-8 shoes.
  • She loves to sing and dance.
  • She is a climber!
  • She likes play dough and anything crafty.
  • She likes pretty much any kind of food (except spicy food) and she eats alot!
I'm so thankful for my sweet girl! I love her more and more everyday.
