Philippians 3:14 Friday - 5/1/2009

If you read my post yesterday, you can understand why I haven't been accomplishing my goals very well the last few weeks. It's good to know why I'm so incredibly tired in the middle of the day and why my body is crashing at 8pm each night!

Anyway, so here is my goal checkup for the month of April:

Daily goals
  • Spent time with God and in prayer almost everyday. Finished Galatians & Ephesians and I'm part-way through Philippians.
  • Continued prayer journal, and still loving it!
  • Took vitamins everyday
  • Exercised 4-5 times/week
  • Did not do very well with my reading goal of 15minutes/day. Did it about 8-10 days this month.
Reading
  • Finished Feminine Appeal, but didn't finish the other 2 books on my list
Projects
  • We got our square foot garden planted today!!
  • I got my spare rooms somewhat cleaned up, but not enough to post pictures of!
Homemaking
  • Cleaned up the kitchen most nights this month. On the nights that I was too tired, I washed the dishes first thing the next morning.
  • Grocery shopping and menu planning went well overall this month
  • I worked close to 20 hours each week...give or take a few hours.
I haven't really had a chance to sit down and think about goals for May, but I know they will include:
  • Eating nourshing foods for me and the baby
  • Staying away from sweets. This is very hard for me, but I haven't had any sweets in over a week and a half!
  • Drink plenty of water and limit coffee to 1-2 times/week
  • Take prenatal vitamins and other supplements
  • Continue exercising
  • Read The Natural Pregnancy Book and other pregnancy books
  • Rest for 20 minutes everyday
I know I'll think of more, but that's a start.

Be sure to check out more Philippians 3:14 Friday goal update posts!

  1. You did a great job on your goals, and CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy! That's so exciting, and yes, God does work miracles! =D

I also think it's good that you set a goal to rest each day.

  3. I love your garden plot! We are wanting to start gardening again, but will be away from home most of the summer, living in an apartment. Maybe we'll do some container gardening instead.

Congrats on the new-addition-to-be, and on doing so well on your goals!

  4. Congratulations on your pregnancy! What a wonderful working of God in your behalf!

I love the picture of your garden. I really want to do something, though I'm limited to portable options right now.
