28 weeks

28 weeks with Lily (on left) and our baby boy (on right)

Ya'll, we have kind of decided that we aren't going to name our little guy Jacob Jr (JJ) after all. I know, call us crazy for changing our minds. Ha! We're still discussing names that we like and I will let you know when we decide for sure and for certain!

I'm feeling pretty well. Over the weekend I had lots of pretty strong contractions that were regular for several hours. It kind of scared me. I talked to my midwife and she said that you feel contractions earlier on with each pregnancy and that I should be sure to drink tons of water (which I was already doing) and let her know if they got longer, stronger, or closer together. Thankfully they stopped and I haven't had anymore today.  We're just praying our little man stays put for at least another 9 weeks!

I'm still exercising everyday - either walking or doing a pregnancy dvd. My goal is to gain what I did with Lily (25lbs) since I started out at the exact same weight with both pregnancies. So far I'm right on track!

We registered at Target last week, which was lots of fun! We're not planning to do a full-fledged nursery this time. What we're going to do is put a crib in our guest room and leave the double bed up as well. We've never had time to paint or anything in that room, so we're going to do it in blue and brown. I think it'll be cute! We certainly need to get started on it soon!

Hope ya'll have a great Monday!

  2. How about Micah James? I'm expecting a little boy as well, though I'm not quite as far along as you are... I'm in my 23rd week. We just found out this week that it is a boy we are expecting and we just decided on his name, so I am just so in love with that name right now! :)

You make such a cute, little pregnant lady {wink!}.

  3. You are so cute! We changed our minds about a name for one of our kids too, but then went back to it once they were born! It's tough deciding though...:-)

  5. You look so good! I got bigger with each pregnancy, but you look the same at this one as you did with Lily. Can't wait to read about the name and the nursery.

  6. My contractions started ALOT earlier with this pregnancy than with the other two as well. It can be scary when you don't know for sure if it's going to turn into the realy thing too soon! Now I'm in the 'how will I know if it's real labor' stage since I've been having them for so long and they're getting stronger and closer together at times. My husband said last night maybe he should google how to deliver a baby on your own just in case! lol
You look great though and glad you're doing so good. Can't wait to see what name ya'll decide on!

  7. I changed my mind on the name w/my last baby and had to go back and tell everyone. The more I used it, the less I liked it so I knew it wouldn't work!! :) There's plenty of time to decide, right?

  10. You look SO great!! I hope your contractions get better/go away!

I would LOVE to gain only 25 pounds. But I was kind of small to begin with. I'm 25 weeks and have gained 15 so far, so we will see. Really I don't care though. Just so long as baby is fat and healthy. :)
