35 weeks

35 weeks with Baby #3

Ack! Only 5 weeks left (give or take a few days)! I can't believe how fast the days are flying by! I'm so thankful for the energy I'm continuing to have - although Levi and I started coming down on Friday with the crud that Lily had earlier in the week, so I haven't felt like doing much since then.

It's fun to see the long to-do list being whittled down slowly but surely! This past week I got the car cleaned out (that was a huge job! I can't believe how much stuff we accumulate in there!), the big freezer cleaned out, the lower kitchen cabinets, dishwasher, and oven wiped down, some mending done, several meals and miscellaneous stuff into the freezer, and the top of Lily's closet cleaned out.

My goal is to have all the to-do list completed in the next three weeks so in the last two weeks before baby I can do "fun stuff." Like getting a haircut, buying some comfy after-baby clothes (I've done this with each pregnancy and it's nice to just have something new that's comfy and cute since we'll have a lot of visitors at the house), and maybe getting a pedicure.

I've been having lots of contractions the last few days as well as a lot of pressure. The baby is still moving all the time too. I love feeling him moving everywhere!

It is definitely getting harder for the kids to sit in my lap comfortably. When we read and rock, they prefer to sit beside me instead of in my lap. It is kind of nice though to have a little shelf to hold them on when I carry them. Ha!

  1. You look lovely! I'm don't remember how I found your blog, and I don't believe I've ever commented before, but I just wanted to say that your little ones are adorable and you look like you're doing a wonderful job raising them. :) My oldest child was barely 15 months when my third was born, so I can relate! My oldest is almost 8 now and our 7th baby arrived 4 weeks ago. They are such wonderful blessings!! Keep up the good work!

  2. Glad you've been able to get so much done! You look beautiful! I laughed at what you said about the "shelf" for carrying your little ones... I've thought the same thing! haha.

  3. You are looking amazing!! Isn't the energy wonderful?! I know it has been a pleasant surprise for me. I hope the next few weeks go well for you and that you're able to get your list done in time to relax a bit before the baby comes. I'm thinking these next few weeks for me (almost down to 4) are going to fly past - I'm hoping for a big burst of nesting energy :) (And the "shelf" is convenient, except when I feel like what I'm reaching for is 100 miles away, haha!)

  4. Sheesh! I'm tired just reading all that you have accomplished. What a great idea about comfy clothes post-pregnancy. I'll have to try to remember that someday.

  5. Kelly you have been ambitious...and "nesting", getting ready for the little guy to make his arrival soon.

That is a neat idea to pamper yourself a little before the birth with a haircut and some new comfy clothing pieces....and a pedicure is a good idea too, since people will be seeing your feet in the hospital during the birth! Ha!

You seem to have a good plan...and it won't be long now!

    Love, Linda

  6. You are so adorable! And good for you for checking so many things off of your To Do list -- you're doing better than I am, and I'm not pregnant! :)
