There is nothing quite like napping with a newborn.
Lily's favorite thing is to be snuggled up with me or Jacob.
We are doing our best to enjoy every moment because these days of baby snuggles won't last long.
Yes, my house might be neglected.
My stack of work might be half a mile high.
The coupons in my coupon organizer might have all expired two months ago...
but it's ok.
Because "to everything there is a season" and this is the season for me to cuddle with my baby.
My house will one day be clean.
I will catch up on all my work.
I will get back into clipping coupons and snagging deals.
But for now. . .those things will wait.

Enjoy each moment!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, nothing else really matters. That newborn phase goes by quick. Don't waste it!
BTW: I left you a blog award on my blog today.
Oh nothing better! : )
ReplyDeleteI think that last photo works well with your post. :) I love your pajama pants and fuzzy slippers, and the hot chocolate and pacifier, they all say so much about this "season". This is a great post to come back to, because there are still days when I have to remind myself that the laundry can wait, I'm not on a deadline, my little girl wants my attention and I am not missing out on that.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Enjoy it...she will be one before you know it.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amy
Kelly, it took me a long time to come to terms with my house not being clean!! You go girl! Enjoy this while you can, and don't worry about the minuscule things! Your daughter is beautiful and sweet and I absolutely love your jammies! Sorry, had to say it!

Yes! Ah, how much I treasure in my heart memories of newborn snuggles. Nothing sweeter in this world.
ReplyDeleteenjoy the snuggles and naps because they don't last long!!! but they sure are sweet. super cute pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking time to share. This is so beautiful. I am joyful for you - and trying not to be jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteKelly! I LOVE these pics! They are so precious :) My favorite is the first with you snuggled with Miss Lily Grace. Priceless.
ReplyDeleteI know you may not be sleeping, and other things might not be perfect... but your little one is and you are right. These moments do not last forever. Just focus on Miss Lily, and everything else will fall into place!
I don't think you'll have any regrets about just spending time with your sweet girl! I have the same plans for when Paxton arrives...don't worry about my house & everything being (almost) perfect but spend time just loving my baby!!
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing mama! Treasure these moments because they pass too fast and Lily will be squirming to get down! Ask me how I know! :)
ReplyDeleteLove ya!
absolutely precious ... enjoy every single moment with your sweetie ... you look so natural snuggled up in your robe with your daughter ... a picture of coziness!
ReplyDeleteOh Kelly...these pictures are so touching and sincere. That baby will always know so much love and joy. :)
ReplyDeleteAwh I totally know what you mean, and mine aren't even home yet. You're pictures are completely priceless...I am so happy for you and your husband!!
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy all your precious moments.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this post. Cherish every moment. Yes, all those things will still be there, but this time in your daughter's life will not. I love that as Bella has gotten older, even Scout, I can get back to regularly doing my 'daily to dos', but they help me and join me in it, so it makes it fun even then! Bella cleans with me, Scout helps unload the dishwasher. Well, he throws stuff on the floor - but he's with me doing it!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics. You look like you are LOVING mommyhood!
This was an amazing post. Thanks for sharing. I, myself, wonder where my snuggly little baby went and am in shock that she will be ONE next month. Time goes too fast when they are little :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing you (and hubby) snuggle with baby Lily are just so precious. This time is so sweet, and I'm so glad you are able to get (a little) rest.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking so beautiful :)
the black and white photo works best congrats on being a mom
ReplyDeleteSigh. I love those baby snuggles. I literally can just melt thinking about them.
ReplyDeleteI so agree!!!
