Catching Up! (part 1)

Wow, I have so much catching up to do! Last week was such a busy busy week. I'm so sorry for neglecting my blog and all of ya'll! I'll do my best to catch up on all your posts from last week {no promises though! ha}.

Last weekend Jacob, Lily, and I went to Outback {one of my favorite restaurants because of their gluten-free menu!} to celebrate Mother's Day. After dinner we headed to a concert that Jacob played in. It was a fun evening and Lily behaved so well!

On Saturday, we participated in a church outreach at a Car Show. The ladies in the church baked dozens and dozens of cookies and we put them in baggies, stapled a church invitation card to each baggie and then handed them out with info about our church to all the people at the car show. All the people couldn't believe we were handing out free homemade cookies with no strings attached! Ha!

My little bro was thrilled to check out all the old cars! He was like a kid in a candy store. Several of the owners were kind enough to let him get his picture made in their cars.

We had a special {but very busy} Mother's Day! It was so fun celebrating Mother's Day this year with Lily. I'm am so thankful God has given me the privilege to be a mommy. I never want to take it for granted! We ate dinner with my family since we had some out of town family visiting.

My parent's had fun playing with their grandbabies!

After a quick dinner, we headed to a local park for one of Jacob's youth orchestra's concert. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the beautiful music. In case you are wondering why the orchestra is so small- this particular orchestra has 3 different levels. Jacob conducts the first two levels and helps with the top level as well. Level 2 is pictured- alot of the kids couldn't make it because of Mother's Day.

Lily enjoyed the music too, that is, before she fell asleep. ha!

Alot of Jacob's family came to the concert because his brother and little sister play. This pic is of me, my mother-in-law, Jacob's lil' sis, Jacob's aunt, and his big sister.

After the concert we headed to the cemetery for a little graveside service for Jacob's Nanny. She passed away in December, but because of the cold and rainy weather, we weren't able to have a graveside service. Jacob and Judah played several of Nanny's favorite hymns- Great is Thy Faithfulness and It Is Well With My Soul.

PawPaw read some scripture and spoke of some special memories of Nanny. It was such a special time, and I'm thankful for the closure it gave to all the family. Isn't the headstone beautiful?! It is just perfect.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to share about my time out of town last week as well as this past weekend. Thanks for bearing with me! ha.

Have a wonderful day!
