Making Daddy Special Cards

Yesterday before we ran all our errands, Lily asked me to take her picture and send it to Daddy. She wanted to tell him that she loved him. Melt my heart!

Yesterday afternoon I had the kids sit down at their table while I pulled out our box of craft supplies. I explained to them that we were going to make Daddy some special Valentine's cards.

Lily scrunched up tissue paper and glued it on a heart that I drew out on construction paper.

While I was helping Lily, Levi tried to sneak a few nibbles of crayon.

He is so mischievous!

Levi "helped" me write on his card and then he added a bunch of scribbles to finish it off.

Oh the concentration!

I think it was Lily's first time to use a glue stick. She loved it!

The finished cards. I told Lily we needed to hide the cards from Daddy until today, so she immediately took them and hid them in her closet - where she always hides. Ha!
