Two Months

A week and two days without internet is so not fun! Thankfully it is back up and running, and I can post again. I've missed you all so much and I will catch up on all of your blogs soon hopefully.

This post is a little bit late, but without internet, what're you to do?

Photobucket

Lily, you turned 2 months old on March 1, 2010.
  • You've started smiling/laughing when we tickle you or make funny faces at you.
  • You have rolled over 5 times {tummy to back}, but it scares you and makes you cry.
  • At your well-baby doctor's appointment, you weighed 8lbs and 9oz and you were 22 3/4 inches long. You are definitely a petite little girl!
Photobucket
  • You are wearing size 1 diapers and mostly newborn sized clothes, although a few preemie outfits still fit.
  • You love to snuggle close to mommy and daddy.
  • You have been sleeping straight through the night {from 9:30pm-6:30am} since you were 5 weeks old! Mommy is so thankful.
Photobucket
  • You are very observant and just love to sit in the bumbo on the counter while mommy gets ready or cooks supper.
  • You're eating 6oz of goat milk {from Pap-paw and YaYa's farm} about every 3 1/2-4 hours.
  • Mommy loves to dress you up all girly with hairbows and hats. You don't seem to mind at all and no one has ever mistaken you for a boy! ha.
Photobucket
  • You're trying so hard to suck your thumb and you get so frustrated when you can't get it in your mouth!
  • The last few weeks everyone has said you're starting to look just like mommy, but you definitely have your daddy's nose.
Photobucket

Sweet girl, you are daddy and mommy's treasure. Your smiles and giggles melt our hearts. We love you more than anything and we are so thankful God has given you to us.

Fickle Internet

Just hopping on here really quick to let ya'll know that our internet has been out since Monday and will probably not be fixed til Friday. I'm so sad! The company we are with right now has not had good service {internet service or customer service} so we are having to switch to another company which of course cannot come and install everything until Friday! So I probably won't be able to post for the rest of the week. {sniff sniff!}

Hope ya'll have a great week!

Blog Parade!

I'm participating in Abigail Kraft's fun blog parade! She has some awesome giveaways lined up, so you should for sure link up!

This is my little family. I'm Kelly, my hubby is Jacob, and Lily Grace is our sweet baby girl.

Photobucket
Lily has just started smiling a lot. She's a great baby and such a joyful addition to our family!

Ok, now on to the questions.

1. What's your favorite time of the day, and why?
Early morning. The last few weeks I've really been enjoying when Lily wakes up {around 6am} and gets her morning feeding. It's just a special time for the two of us but I also like getting up early!

2. If health wasn't an issue, what food could you live off of?
Definitely dark chocolate and natural peanut butter.

3. If you could have one wish granted (besides wishing for more wishes), what would it be?
Oh I don't know, I'm not good at questions like this.

4. What's one thing that you get teased about a lot?
My feet. They are super ugly, errr...unique. ha!

5. If you could choose one movie, book, or TV show to spend your life in, which would you pick? What type of character would you be?
Hmm, that's a tough one.

6. If you could have one talent that you don't already have, what would it be?
I would love to play beautiful music by ear.

7.If money were no object, where would you go on vacation?
Europe.

8. If you were an awesome singer, which genre would you sing?
Opera. Haha, just kidding!

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, what would it be?
Target. I could use it for clothes, food, house stuff...anything!

10. If you could live in any point in time, when would it be?
Right now. I love my life and I wouldn't change it.

11. If every outfit in your wardrobe had to be one color, what would it be?
pink. every shade of pink.

12. If you were one of the seven dwarves, which one would you be?
Probably Happy.

13. What's the last album you listened to?
Bach for My Baby. Seriously. ha!

14. What's something we'd be surprised to know about you?
I love washing dishes and folding clothes.

And just for a laugh today.

On the way to my parent's for dinner yesterday, we saw this and just couldn't resist taking a picture! Yes, the bright orange paper says "4 sale." Only in Hickville, USA. Ha!

Of CoffeePots & Baby Smiles

It's a known fact that my sweet hubby loves coffee. Well I do too, but I haven't been drinking it much since I was pregnant and breastfeeding, although now I'm starting to drink it a little more.

We normally make french press coffee every morning, but about a month ago Jacob got the brilliant idea to use the automatic coffee pot on mornings when he had to leave really early for work. That way we wouldn't have to get up early to boil water and grind coffee beans. We would wake up to freshly made coffee.

Anyway, the automatic pot idea only lasted maybe a week, which was fine because french press coffee is way better. Just sayin'! ha.

A few days ago I was cleaning my kitchen counters and my eyes suddenly fell upon this exotic-looking green goo growing in the coffee maker!

Photobucket
Major coffeemaker fail!
Unbeknownst to me, my dear husband had not cleaned out the coffee pot when he'd used it last, um...about 2 weeks ago! He for sure gets to do the honors of cleaning it now! I only got close enough to take pictures. Ha!

Photobucket
Look at this happy little girl! She fills my days with so much joy! Couldn't help posting a couple pictures of her.

Nothing Compares To...

Photobucket

  1. God's Love.

    We cannot comprehend it.

    We cannot reciprocate it.

    We can only accept it and rejoice in it.

    The love of God is greater far
    Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
    It goes beyond the highest star,
    And reaches deep where sinners dwell;
    The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
    God gave His Son to win;
    His erring child He reconciled,
    And pardoned from his sin.

    Refrain:
    Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
    How measureless and strong!
    It shall forevermore endure—
    The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

    Romans 8:38-39
    For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    Lily's Dedication

    Photobucket
    On Sunday Jacob and I publicly dedicated our precious daughter to the Lord.

    Photobucket
    We sang Take My Life And Let It Be. I love that song, especially these two verses:
    Take my will and make it Thine,
    It shall be no longer mine;
    Take my heart, it is Thine own,
    It shall be Thy royal throne.

    1. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
      At Thy feet its treasure store;
      Take myself and I will be
      Ever, only, all for Thee.

    Photobucket
    My Dad did the dedication, and we had the rest of our parents stand up with us and our grandparents sat on the front pew. It is very important to us to have the support and prayers of our family as we seek to bring Lily up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

    Jacob's grandfather prayed the sweetest prayer for us and Lily. He mentioned how we like Hannah prayed for a child and how we were now dedicating her to the Lord as Hannah did with Samuel.

    Photobucket
    I know this picture is kinda blurry, but it was a precious moment that I couldn't leave out!

    Photobucket
    After the service we went outside and Jacob's brother took these pictures for us.

    Photobucket
    I know this is not the best of me since my hair is all in my face, but I thought it's sweet.

    Photobucket
    I love this one! There is nothing like sweet baby toes!

    Photobucket
    My sweet Mom smocked this beautiful dress for Lily to wear! It is absolutely gorgeous!

    Proverbs 22:6
    Train up a child in the way {she} should go: and when {she} is old, {she} will not depart from it.
