As you all know (if you've seen my last post), last night we had a Gender Reveal Party for our little baby. Some of you may have never heard of a party like that, so let me explain what it is.
Yesterday morning I went for an ultrasound. I took an envelope with a slip of paper in it that read: It's A __________!!!!!!! Instead of the tech telling me what the baby was, she filled in the slip of paper and added a few "proof" pictures to the envelope, and sealed it up.
After the ultrasound, I took the sealed envelope to one of my friends who had agreed to bake the cake. Most people will just get a professional bakery to do the cake, but since I can only eat spelt flour, we decided to ask our friend to bake it.
Jacob and I were on pins and needles all day! We were beyond excited to find out what our baby was.
So last night we had a party at my in-laws home. We invited all our "in town" family and and church family. I don't have a picture of the food table, but all the foods were cravings I've had - chips and salsa, fruit (watermelon & strawberries), nuts, and homemade reese's peanut butter bars.
Jacob's dad is out of town, so we streamed the cutting of the cake live for him and for any other family and friends that wanted to watch.
We had all the guests wear either pink or blue, depending on what they thought the baby was. Jacob and I just decided to be neutral! ha! I honestly felt like it was another girl because I've had the same cravings and aversions and pregnancy as I did with Lily. But I knew Jacob really wanted a little boy, so I hoped it would be a boy!

IT'S A BOY!!!!!
We seriously couldn't believe it! Yes, I squealed!! LOL!
We are so happy!!!!!
Myra took this picture on her phone, but there is not a very good one of us on my camera.
Our little guy is going to be named Jacob Jr after his daddy. We're planning to call him JJ for short.

That is so sweet Kelly - I had so much fun watching! It was sooo suspenseful! Thanks for sharing with us! I am so happy for you- baby boys are so very sweet and I know Jacob will really like having a Mini Him running around. Benjamin's first name is the same as his daddy's, and I know that was very special for my husband - I know it will be very special for Jacob.
