Sniffles and Snuggles
My precious baby girl has a yucky cold. She started having a little congestion early last week, but it just started getting worse and worse since Sunday. Today she started running a low grade fever, her nose was so stopped up she couldn't breathe well, she wasn't interested in eating and she wanted to sleep all the time. Poor little girl, she's just plain miserable!
I took her to the doctor because I was afraid she might have RSV. The doctor was concerned about Lily's fever and we have to make sure it doesn't get over 100.6 or she has to go in the hospital. Dr. S sent us to get a chest x-ray as well. Thankfully it was clear.
So we're just spending lots of extra time cuddling, comforting, and trying to keep the fever down and nose unclogged (definitely no fun!). Hopefully she's on the mend and will be feeling better in a few days!
Even though she feels so awful, she is still just as sweet as ever!

ReplyDeleteAwww...I hope she feels better! I know it's tough on both Mommy and Baby when they don't feel well. Even though you are tired, and she is sick, you both look beautiful!

ReplyDeletePoor Lily...I'll say an extra prayer for her today and you too. I can understand being so tired. It'll wear you down as well. Keep you chin up and just keep giving her some sugar. She'll be better soon. Take care!!

Benjamin had bronchiolitis when he was 3 months old and it was so sad! It is sooooo sad when the babies get sick! Feel better soon, Lily! Many hugs for her!

ReplyDeleteShe is a doll! And you look great for being a tired mommy. Holding naked Lily next to your bare chest can help stabilize their temp. Has worked endlessly with my kids. Learned it when I had Bella. Wonderful advice.

To answer your question the white hat from yesterdays post is actually a Mudpie- don't know if your familiar or not but it is a popular gift brand they sell in tons of places (mostly little gift shops, baby stores, etc.) the other hats i have gotten from veronica at hooked on you hats online- i have her button at the bottom of my blog! hope this helps!
