We went to the doctor first thing this morning. Everything sounded good internally (lungs, breathing, heart, kidneys, etc) and the doctor is pretty sure that Jacob's ribs are cracked or bruised. Funny thing about ribs is that there is really no pain difference whether they are cracked or bruised.
Dr. F didn't feel like it was necessary to do x-rays, which was totally fine with us since we don't have health insurance. He gave Jacob a prescription pain patch to wear on his ribs, pain killer, and an anti-inflammatory. We were so blessed because the doctor gave us tons of samples so we don't have to pay for the prescriptions! God is faithful!
Jacob should be feeling better in a week or two. I'm going to go with him to school as much as possible to help him with the violins and teaching.

I wanted to ask you to pray for my dear blogging friend Nikki and her family today. Their beautiful Trisomy 18 little girl was born on Friday and spent about an hour with her family before she went to be with Jesus. Today they are celebrating her life and honoring the Lord.
Please keep this family in your prayers, and if you feel led, stop by their blog and leave them a comment or an encouraging Bible verse. I have been following their story since they found out about Johanna's Trisomy 18, and I'm just amazed, challenged, and blessed by their godly testimony through this trial.
